Entry Policy: To enter the tournament, mail entry form and full payment to:

Entries must be received at least 2 two days before the tournament (Thursday 5:00 PM).

All entries – including e-mail entries – are responsible for full entry fees if not withdrawn at least two days before the tournament. Phone entries are no longer accepted. Entries may be rejected if space doesn’t permit. After deadline, tournament director reserve the right to determine if you still can enter the tournament depending on the availability, with $5 late fee.

Format: Open semifinal & final matches are best 4 of 7. All other matches are best 3 of 5. All rating events are round robin followed by single elimination. Seeded players and players rated over 2500 seeded out of Open RR, start play two hours later. Unrated players will not advance out of rated round robin events unless a rating can be reasonably assigned. For events from U1850 up, players must be rated over 1000. To enter open, players must be rated over 1800. Unless permission is given by Director, all finals must be played. Director reserves the right to modify or cancel events and/or prize money if there are insufficient entries - if so, players will be notified the night before the event starting time. Match time is default time. Players may not enter two events scheduled at the same time. For Open Singles, there must be at least 8 players to hold the event. Timeouts are allowed only in umpired Open matches.

Rules: Sanctioned as a 1-star tournament by USA Table Tennis. USATT regulations apply, including dress code, unless otherwise noted. Only USATT approved equipment will be used.

Equipment: Butterfly tables, Butterfly orange 40mm balls, cement floors.

Membership: Proof of USATT membership is required. Memberships may be purchased at the tournament.

Adult membership is $40/year or $105/3 years. Junior membership is $20/year.

Ratings: Most recent ratings will be used. Director reserves the right to assign ratings in some cases.

Directions: From the Beltway (495), take 270 North. Go to exit 11, Montgomery Village Ave. Drive 1/4 mile to first traffic light, Frederick Rd. (355), and turn left. Drive 1.2 miles and turn right at Game Preserve Road. Drive about 200 yards and make the first right. Take second right (steep downhill, bear left) into MDTTC parking lot. (There is a large "Tech Roof" sign and a small MDTTC sign on far right corner where you turn.) For further information, please call the MDTTC at 301-519-8580.
